A set of geo-coded community information embedded with spatial reference in an open standard format. It contains a collection of locations points of interest in the community, such as school, clinic, library, sports ground, convenient store, railway station access, etc, with comprehensive address information, contact details and other related service information in GeoJSON and CSV formats.

1:1000 geo-reference database including building name and address, site polygon and road centre line in ASCII, FGDB, GML, DWG and DGN formats.

There are about 5,500 Geodetic Survey Control Stations in Hong Kong, including trigonometric stations, bench marks and traverse stations. The Place Name database is maintained by Survey and Mapping Office of LandsD. The original source of the Database is based on “A Gazetteer of Place Names” with the first edition published in 1960, containing placename features mapped at 1:25,000. The Database stores and maintains names of settlement (e.g. area, town, village), hydrographic features (e.g. river, channel), and topographic features (e.g. relief).

Government Land Allocation (GLA) is a site allocated to government bureau/department for projects or use (e.g. treatment plants, service reservoirs, depots, works areas etc.). The information provided includes GLA number, type, allocatee, user type etc. This dataset is one of the datasets in the Land Parcel Framework Spatial Data Theme.

This dataset contains old maps of Hong Kong, including “Plan of the City of Victoria Hong Kong (1889)”, “Victoria Hong Kong (1897)”, “Kowloon Peninsula (1892, 1947, 1963 & 1970)”, “Hong Kong (1927 & 1957)”, “Sha Tin (1904)”, “Tsuen Wan (1958)”, “Central (1938)”, “Wan Chai (1947)”, “Lyemun - Clearwater Bay Road (Lei Yue Mun - Clear Water Bay Road) (1954)” and “Tai O (1918)”. The map images scanned from paper maps are geo-referenced to the Hong Kong 1980 Grid coordinate system.

The data of 18 Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) of Hong Kong Satellite Positioning Reference Station Network (SatRef) is disseminated to users via the Receiver Independent Exchange (RINEX) format. In addition, the CORS at Kau Yi Chau operated by Marine Department is also disseminating its RINEX data via our server. The Hong Kong Satellite Positioning Reference Station Network (SatRef) has been supporting for various applications including high accuracy positioning to public since 2010. The reference stations receive real-time GNSS signals from GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO and BeiDou satellites round-the-clock. The Network RTK Integrity Monitoring (IM) system comprises three monitoring stations located at Fanling (HKFN), Quarry Bay (HKQT), and Tate’s Cairn (TCHK). These stations continuously monitor the performance of the SatRef Network RTK service by comparing RTK-surveyed coordinates with control coordinates. The real-time data streams of these RTK-surveyed coordinates are disseminated in NMEA format via the Open Data Portal and the CSDI Portal, and can be accessed by means of NTRIP. Land Exchange Transactions

Land Parcel and Public Utility Number Search API provides service for application developers to find locations by Land Parcel Number, Public Utility Number, Building Common Spatial Unit ID (Building CSUID), Lot Common Spatial Unit ID (Lot CSUID) and Property Reference Number (PRN) in additional to the existing Location Search API for finding locations by addresses, building names, place names or facility names. Please note that the PRN searching service is applicable to Lot searching only.

Lot Index API

Development of Multi-functional Smart Lampposts aimed to support the Hong Kong Smart City development. Lands Department is responsible for provision of positioning services to public. The positioning devices include Bluetooth beacons, RFID tags, and Geo-QR code tags. Developers can use this information to develop positioning related applications.

350 selected old photos of Hong Kong taken in the 1950s - 1970s showing the street views of Hong Kong, with district name tagged in the “Title” field of image file, some with street and building names.

This dataset consists of about 72 000 old survey sheets in 1:600 or 1:1 200 or 1:1 000 scale published from 1920 onwards in GeoTIFF format. These survey sheet images were scanned from paper maps and geo-referenced to the Hong Kong 1980 Grid coordinate system. The geo-referenced location is for general reference only and shall not be used for any work with precision.
